- Carefully, drain water from the pot, add butter and milk to potatoes, mash potatoes with potato masher until fluffy texture (to make mashed potato extra fluffy use hand mixer). Taste mashed potatoes, if needed, season more with salt to taste, then add cooked pasta.
Slice potatoes lengthwise, halfway through and use the palms of your hands to push the ends of the potato towards the center to open the potato. Fluff inside of potato with a fork. Add 1/2 tablespoon of butter to each potato. Add about 1/4 cup mac and cheese to each potato. Top with sour cream, bacon bits or any of your favorite potato toppings.

What was the initial inspiration for your app?
Mr. Potato Head himself, no doubt! As digital developers, storytellers, educators and parents of preschoolers, it was an honor to work with Hasbro to bring one of the most iconic and nostalgic toys of our time to the digital screen. Indeed, Mr. Potato Head turned 64 years old this year. Our love for Mr and Mrs Potato Head from when we were kids and now seeing our own kids play with the toy gave us inspiration for how we could bring him to life in a mobile app. Mr. Potato Head: School Rush is a story that both parents and kids can enjoy.
What is your favorite aspect of your app?
So many! But if we had to choose, I’d say it is watching Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head come to life though gorgeous graphics as you tap, swipe, shake and tilt your way through the story. We specifically love the pirate scene and watching Mr. Potato Head on his slick rocket skates – just another unexpected place we find ourselves as he’s trying to be helpful and get you to school. Of course it wouldn’t be Mr. Potato Head if you couldn’t piece him together as his pieces fall apart. And the story itself is zany and funny just like Mr. Potato Head!
