Alpha Omega Mac OS

I am the Alpha and Omega - the begining and the end. It is the first configurable radio-controlled helicopters simulator for Macintosh Mac OS X. It simulates the behavior and the control of real radio-controlled helicopters. You can pilot the RC helicopters with the keyboard, a digital gamepad, a dual analog gamepad, a fake radio-transmitter.

The Greek letters alpha and omega

Alpha (Α or α) and omega (Ω or ω) are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, and a title of Christ and God in the Book of Revelation. This pair of letters is used as a Christian symbol,[1] and is often combined with the Cross, Chi-rho, or other Christian symbols.

Origin[edit]

The term Alpha and Omega comes from the phrase 'I am the Alpha and the Omega' (Koiné Greek: 'ἐγώ εἰμι τὸ Ἄλφα καὶ τὸ Ὦ'), an appellation of Jesus and of the Father in the Book of Revelation (verses 1:8, 21:6, and 22:13). The first part of this phrase ('I am the Alpha and the Omega') is first found in Chapter 1 verse 8 ('1:8'), and is found in every manuscript of Revelation that has 1:8. Several later manuscripts repeat 'I am the Alpha and the Omega' in 1:11 too, but do not receive support here from most of the oldest manuscripts, including the Alexandrine, Sinaitic, and Codex Ephraemi Rescriptus. It is, therefore, omitted in some modern translations. Scholar Robert Young stated, with regard to 'I am the Alpha and the Omega' in 1:11, the 'oldest [manuscripts] omit' it.[2]

A similar reference is in Isaiah 44,[3][4] where the Lord says to be the first and the one who is after all.

Christianity[edit]

Alpha (Α) and omega (Ω) are the first and last letters, respectively, of the classical (Ionic) Greek alphabet. Thus, the phrase 'I am the alpha and the omega' is further clarified with the additional phrase, 'the beginning and the end' in Revelation 21:6, 22:13. The first and last letters of the Greek alphabet were used because the book of Revelation is in the New Testament, which was originally written in Greek.

This phrase is interpreted by many Christians[according to whom?] to mean that Jesus has existed for all eternity or that God is eternal. Many commentators and dictionaries ascribe the title 'the alpha and the omega' to both God and to Christ.[5]Barnes' Notes on the New Testament (1974) claims: 'It cannot be absolutely certain that the writer meant to refer to the Lord Jesus specifically here ... There is no real incongruity in supposing, also, that the writer here meant to refer to God as such.'[6] Most Christian denominations also teach that the title applies to both Jesus and his Father.

The letters Alpha and Omega, in juxtaposition, are often used as a Christian visual symbol (see examples). The symbols were used in early Christianity and appear in the Roman catacombs. The letters were shown hanging from the arms of the cross in Early Christian art, and some cruces gemmatae, jeweled crosses in precious metal, have formed letters hanging in this way, called pendilia; for example, in the Asturian coat of arms, which is based upon the Asturian Victory Cross. In fact, despite always being in Greek, the letters became more common in Western than Eastern Orthodox Christian art. They are often shown to the left and right of Christ's head, sometimes within his halo, where they take the place of the Christogram used in Orthodox art.

Judaism[edit]

In Hebrew, the word emet (אמת, meaning 'truth'), is referred to as the 'Seal of God.'[7][8][9] [Cf. Isaiah 44:6[10]] The word is composed of the first, middle, and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

APL programming language[edit]

Some dialects of the APL programming language support the direct function syntax where the left (optional) and right arguments are denoted by the letters alpha and omega. For example, the following function computes the sum of the left argument and twice the right argument:

Welcome to Pokemon Emulators Website

Introduction

We have heard and known so much information about the Pokemon Emulators, but maybe we don’t know clearly about them. So, exactly what are they?
Basically, Pokemon Emulators are a type of emulator which allowing a computing device can emulate the hardware of any gaming system… from a handheld to a console. There are many different platforms for emulating a gaming system. When talking about Pokemon Emulators, we usually think about the PC platform first because the system of a PC is strong enough to emulate a gaming system from low to high. Moreover, with a video game emulator we can have more functions and extend the limit of a normal gaming system like mapping the controllers – set up the display ratio – choose the Surround or Mono/Stereo sound – using Cheats Code like Gameshark or Codebreaker will be much more easier depending on the user interface – etc.
After having an emulator, the only thing you will need is a ROM (or we usually call it Game). This is the copy of game catridge data which was created by some special tools. Instead of buying the real gaming system with its own game catridge, we find some emulators and ROM. After finding it, extract the ROM and use the emulator to play. Some emulators can read the compressed ROM in the RAR or ZIP format (no need to extract them out).

Advantages

There are some advantages of an emulator in comparison with a real system:

  • Can use the ROM hacking and modification. If the original game had some errors or gamers just want to modify-edit-adjust in the ways they want, they can use some tools and make that happen. Of course the emulator is the fastest and most convenient way to test the games.
  • With an emulator, many enhancements are added: graphics and audio improvements, save state function for saving anywhere and anytime, boot the game faster, bypass the splash screens of the original manufacturer, online multiplayer, slow down or speed up the emulation speed, bypass the region lockout, set up the controllers, use cheat codes easier, stretch or change between many different display ratios.
