Double Bubble Mac OS
Hey Saenz1948,
I understand that you are experiencing an issue with the cursor is showing something different from what you are used to. I can try to help you out.
Now you say it is not clicking anything when using it. I would recommend that you look into restarting your Mac. I know you don't know many of the shortcuts for your Mac, but all you would need to press is Command–Control–Power button. Pressing these keys together will close the apps and restart your Mac. Once you have restarted your Mac, you should see that the cursor is back to normal.
Take a look at the articles below. The first will go over the different cursors you might see and the other will go over shortcuts that you can use for you Mac.

Double Bubble Mac Os X
Mystery double key presses are a well-documented issue with some MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and MacBook computers, and while it’s not clear what causes the issue or how widespread the problem is, if you’re encountering the double typing issue yourself, you may find a settings change in Mac OS can help reduce the frequency, or even fix it entirely. The Finder in OS X will let you do the same thing OS 9 did. Highlight the item by clicking on it once and then press Command+O. If it's an app, it'll launch. If it's a file of some sort, it will launch the associated app and then open in that app. You can also add anything to the Dock in OS X. Once there, it's a one click launch.
