For Mac OSX 10.8, there is currently no way to listen to adverts sent out by MATHS printers, and so we instead must add printers manually. There are a few steps involved. First, install the printer drivers. Second, turn on the Mac's web interface for its CUPS server. This document is a Mac OS X manual page. Manual pages are a command-line technology for providing documentation. You can view these manual pages locally using the man(1) command. These manual pages come from many different sources, and thus, have a variety of writing styles. Gutenprint on Mac OS X would not be possible without CUPS, the open-source print spooler built-in for Mac OS X starting with version 10.2 (Jaguar). Gutenprint is strictly a printer support package. For multi-function devices, it supports only the printer function. The last release that will work under Mac OS X 10.2.x (Jaguar) is 5.0.2. To bypass the CoC print servers and print directly to a CoC printer, you must be attached to the GT network. If you are not, you will need to connect in, such as through LAWN or VPN. By default, macOS populates with the local computer username and prompts for a password. For students or employees printing from apersonal device, you must change this to your College of Wooster username (e.g. jdoe20) and password. For Faculty and Staff logged in to a college-owned device, no change should be necessary. To avoid this pop-up in the future, check the box 'Remember my credentials.'
